Helio Launches “Mysto”, Crowd Goes Mild

in Gadgets, Mobile

In a feeble attempt to keep up with the ever-changing cell phone market, Helio has come out with their newest phone, the “Mysto”. The Mysto is not a new phone, it is exactly the same as based on the aging Samsung U600. It comes packed with a 2 megapixel camera, a 2.2″ display, and 100 MB of internal storage that can be expanded via microSD. Helio’s selling point with the Mysto is its GPS capabilities. The Mysto offers free GPS, right out of the box, and integration with Google maps. The one thing that Helio forgot about when making this phone, was that if it doesn’t have a touch-screen, people don’t care. It seems like touching is all the rage these days. Unfortunately, it seems that people’s exuberance for touching is limited to phones only… people are much less enthusiastic when it comes to “intrusive” and “harassment” based touching. Oh well, hopefully Apple can find a way to market that, too.
