Have you ever looked back at old movies and cartoons (pre 1980) that depicts the year 2000 with flying cars and hovering cities and though, “boy did they get that all wrong”? Well, movies today paint a similar picture, but the difference is that we might not be too far away. The Minority Report‘s hand-guided computer navigation is a perfect example. Cynergy Labs used Microsoft’s surface interface, Johnny Chung Lee’s wiimote ideas, and their own programming to come up with a glove-navigation system, not unlike you see in the Hollywood blockbuster:
