Utility Belt Design Promises Less Back Stress, Batman Rejoices
February 14, 2008

Katherine Bugeja, of the University of Sydney, designed this tool belt. She calls it the Belter. This belt offers ergonomic and safe tool placement as well as a decrease in the risk of injury. It is shaped and tools are placed in order to prevent stress on the lower back. It also claims that some of the risk is limited by isolating the nail gun:
Belter features a nail gun support holster which restricts the ‘problem tool’ from increasing the risk of injury by restricting the nail gun and giving maximum physical control back to the user.
I don’t know exactly what that means, but I assume it means that you won’t shoot yourself, which is a good thing, I guess.
