Coco Chanel Makes Fashion Phone: Is Awesome??

I don’t know what to think here. When I hear “Fashion Phone“, my writer’s sense usually goes straight into insult mode. This Fashion Phone from Coco Chanel is giving me extremely mixed messages. It seems… awesome. There is one glaring fault with the device, though: It’s about as real as the P-Per Phone Conecept. This thing is in the land of Unicorns, Elves, and The Olsen Twins. The company’s own explanation says it all:

Works by integrating an optical fiber system that display image between two glass parts. There are 12 micro lighter fibers, that throw image components to the glass, that offer a quite good luminosity, and keep the mobile phone concept as light as possible. All lights only appear when you open the phone, by pushing removable part on the side of it.

Is it just me, or does it seem like they outsourced the product description to the good folks over at Brando? I must give Chanel some praise, however, for producing a concept that I am interested in. If this thing ever became reality, I would definitely want one, and would agree that such a piece of tech would be worth a premium (unlike that ugly as hell “Fashion Phone” featured in the article below). One more pic after the jump.
