Hasbro’s Room Tech Clock is Watching You Sleep

This creepy little bugger is the latest in child nightmare alarm clock technology.  The Room Tech Clock is a Clock/Radio/MP3 Dock/Wireless Light Controller/Murder Machine.  The basic concept behind this device is that you can set it to sync with the paired mushroom-shaped lamps to turn the lamps on when the alarm goes off.  Apparently the point of this thing is not to kill you in your sleep, but instead, make it a little easier for you to wake up in the morning.  Personally, I don’t think I’d be able to sleep with the knowledge that I’d spent $80 on what is essentially a clock radio with a built-in clapper, and some mushroom lamps.  Hasbro expects this creepy device pairing to be released sometime in September.
