SmartShopper: For Those Who Can’t Write

SmartShopper is a device that allows you to speak your grocery list to it, and then it will organize it and print out your list for you. It costs $150 and is entirely unnecessary. I’m pretty sure that it is just as easy (if not easier) to just take out a pen and piece of paper and write the damned thing down. I can usually understand the point of devices such as these, but this just seems lazy. Couldn’t a voice recorder do the same thing for a whole lot less? I mean, I don’t want to have to pay $150 to yell, “Beer, Whiskey, Cigarettes, Tomatoes, Playboy, Hustler, Chicken, Bleach” into a list-maker when I could just as easily go yell the same thing at my girlfriend. I have her trained pretty well at this point.
